A SUN ROOM HAVEN

A Sunroom Haven

Our client had an underutilized backyard prone to flooding during rainy seasons due to poor drainage and slope issues. As an avid host, they envisioned transforming this neglected space into a functional and inviting sunroom haven.

Key to our design approach was achieving architectural harmony and material continuity with the main house, ensuring a seamless integration of old and new structures. The addition of a glass roof not only completed the solarium's aesthetic but also embraced sustainable design principles by preserving the natural light that floods into the main house.

The sunroom's material palette features striking black accents paired with warm wood tones, evident throughout the structure, flooring, sink finish, and furniture. To enhance comfort, we incorporated a wood stove burner, keeping the space cozy during colder months. Beyond its aesthetic and functional benefits, this sunroom offers a unique perk: it allows our client to host guests with ease while keeping their main house spotless. This project stands as a testament to transforming challenges into beautiful, practical solutions.
